Battery Tracking and Management
Batteries are critical to safe drone operations. Proper tracking helps prevent failures and extends battery life.
Adding Batteries
- Navigate to Fleet > Batteries
- Click "Add Battery"
- Enter battery information:
- Serial Number: From the battery label
- Model: Battery type
- Purchase Date: When acquired
- Capacity: mAh rating
- Save the battery
Tracking Charge Cycles
The system tracks battery cycles to help predict lifespan:
- Each charge/discharge cycle is counted
- Total cycles are displayed on the battery details
- Warnings appear when batteries approach end-of-life
Battery Health Indicators
Monitor these health indicators:
- Cycle Count: Total charge cycles
- Last Charged: When the battery was last charged
- Storage Voltage: Voltage at last check
- Overall Health: Good, Fair, or Poor
Battery Storage Best Practices
The system can remind you of storage best practices:
- Store at appropriate voltage levels
- Avoid extreme temperatures
- Cycle batteries periodically during extended storage
Retiring Batteries
When a battery reaches end-of-life:
- Open the battery details
- Click "Retire Battery"
- Document the reason
- Follow proper disposal procedures
