Tracking Asset Status
Keep track of which assets have been completed and which still need attention using the status tracking system.
Understanding Status Values
- Pending: Asset has been added but work hasn't started. This is the default status for new assets.
- In Progress: A pilot is currently working on this asset or work has begun.
- Completed: All required work on this asset is finished.
- On Hold: Work is temporarily paused, perhaps due to weather or access issues.
- Needs Review: Work is done but requires manager review.
Updating Asset Status
You can update status in several ways:
From the Asset List
- Find the asset in your project's asset list
- Click the status dropdown
- Select the new status
From the Asset Detail Page
- Open the asset
- Click on the status badge
- Select the new status
- Optionally add a note explaining the change
Bulk Status Updates
- Select multiple assets using checkboxes
- Click "Bulk Actions"
- Choose "Update Status"
- Select the new status for all selected assets
Filtering by Status
Use the filter options to view only assets with a specific status. This helps you:
- See what's left to do (filter by Pending)
- Check on current work (filter by In Progress)
- Review completed work (filter by Completed)
Status on the Map
Asset markers on the map are color-coded by status for easy visual identification.
