Understanding User Roles
User roles determine what each person can see and do within the UAS Mission Portal.
Available Roles
Pilot
The most common role for field operators:
- View assigned projects
- Update asset status
- Complete tailboards and checklists
- Upload flight data and images
- Submit incident reports
Manager
For supervisors and team leads:
- All Pilot permissions, plus:
- Create and manage projects
- Assign pilots to projects
- Review and approve tailboards
- Generate reports
- View team activity
Administrator
For company management:
- All Manager permissions, plus:
- Invite and remove users
- Change user roles
- Manage company settings
- Access billing information
- Configure integrations
Changing a User's Role
- Navigate to Company Admin > Users
- Find the user in the list
- Click on their name or the "Edit" button
- Select the new role
- Save changes
Role Hierarchy
Each role includes all permissions from the roles below it:
- Administrator > Manager > Pilot
