Creating a New Project
Projects are the foundation of organizing your work in the UAS Mission Portal. Each project can contain multiple assets, documents, and mission data.
Step 1: Start a New Project
Navigate to the Projects section and click the "New Project" button, or use the quick action "+" button from anywhere in the portal.
Step 2: Enter Project Details
Fill in the project information:
- Project Name: A descriptive name that identifies the project
- Description: Optional details about the project scope and objectives
- Client: Associate the project with a client if applicable
- Location: The general geographic area for the project
- Start/End Dates: Expected project timeline
Step 3: Set Project Settings
Configure additional options:
- Project Status: Active, On Hold, or Completed
- Visibility: Who can view and access the project
- Default Map View: Set the initial map center and zoom level
Step 4: Add Team Members
Invite team members to collaborate on the project. You can assign different permission levels:
- Viewer: Can view but not modify
- Editor: Can add and modify content
- Admin: Full control including user management
Step 5: Save and Continue
Click "Create Project" to save. You'll be taken to the project dashboard where you can start adding assets.
