Field audits help ensure safety standards are maintained and document on-site conditions during drone operations.
When to Complete a Field Audit
Field audits should be conducted:
- Before starting operations at a new site
- Periodically for ongoing projects
- When conditions or circumstances change
- As required by company policy or regulations
Starting a Field Audit
- Navigate to Safety > Field Audits
- Click "New Audit"
- Select the project and location
- Choose the appropriate audit template
Audit Categories
A typical field audit covers:
Site Safety
- Access and egress
- Ground conditions
- Obstacles and hazards
- Lighting conditions
Equipment
- Drone condition
- Battery status
- Controller functionality
- Support equipment
Personnel
- Qualifications verified
- PPE being used
- Training current
Recording Findings
For each audit item:
- Mark as Compliant, Non-Compliant, or N/A
- Add notes for context
- Attach photos as evidence
- Note any corrective actions needed
Audit Scoring
The system calculates an overall compliance score based on your responses. This helps track safety trends over time.
